About

“My grandmother had 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and at least 15 businesses. I learned early on there was strength in numbers.”

Over time, the businesses evolved and overlapped. I remember a fish store, an ice store, a moving company, and a motel with restaurant. We even sold Christmas trees from her big front yard. The one constant was family. We all worked together—grandparents, grownups, and kids. Every morning, Gram briefed the team and got them out the door to work their magic. And it was magic. The worn kitchen table turned into a hardworking hub, piled high with invoices, statements, and receipts. The adding machine was as big as a cash register. When I pulled down its heavy arm, it emitted a pleasing ka-ching! That’s where my love for numbers and business began, and it’s still going strong. Not surprisingly, I inherited my grandmother’s entrepreneurial spirit. Early on, I had a side hustle providing bookkeeping services to start-ups and small nonprofits. I also owned and operated a catering business with my chef husband in the Greater Boston area for six years. Years later, we turned a struggling Dennis inn into a thriving business.

Throughout my career, I’ve consistently partnered with businesses of all shapes and sizes to help them reach their dreams and goals. I also found two sweet spots: helping to strengthen the small business and nonprofit sector on Cape Cod and creating opportunities for other women and entrepreneurs.

ENTREPRENEURIAL EXPERIENCE

Sesuit Harbor House, Cape Cod
We turned this 21-room motel into an award-winning inn, ranked by TripAdvisor as the #4 hotel on Cape Cod under our ownership. We more than doubled revenues, increased occupancy rates and drove the average return guest rate to an unprecedented 60%. We also implemented a successful recruitment and team-building program to ensure top notch seasonal staff and developed a gift shop with a signature t-shirt line as a key marketing driver for the inn and a way to connect with the local community.

JPM Catering, Inc.
This successful home catering business provided daily private chef services and lunch to a Boston law firm and catering for in-home dinner parties, small weddings, and other events.

Accounting Services
As a solopreneur, I helped small nonprofit organizations establish good business practices and provided early-stage start-ups with financial reporting and results to raise additional capital.
