FEELIN’ GOOD

Kim Marchand Feelin' Good

March 2022

I’ve got an internal soundtrack. Walking on Sunshine by Katrina and the Waves gets a lot of play. (Maybe too much play.) But I do mix things up to match moods, memories, and milestones. Take New Year’s Day. It definitely needs a theme song. Sinatra’s version of The Best is Yet to Come is a contender, but my fallback is the ultimate feel-good song, Feelin’ Good. This 1965 hit has been covered by everyone from Nina Simone, Sammy Davis Jr., and John Coltrane to George Michaels, The Pussycat Dolls, and Michael Buble. But no matter who’s performing it, this song makes me feel powerful, purposeful, committed, connected, and ready to take on the world.

Birds flying high
You know how I feel
Sun in the sky
You know how I feel
Breeze driftin on by
You know how I feel

It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life
For me
And I’m feeling good
I’m feeling good

Well, it’s a new year. A new dawn. A new day. So, how are you feeling? Psyched about a new venture? Determined to turn your business around or kick it to the next level? If so, here’s my advice. There’s strength in numbers. Put some muscle there.

My super-power is taking nonprofits, mom pops, and corporations to the next level of financial stability and growth. Start-ups, side hustles, and turnarounds, too. Over the years, my firm has provided financial, coaching, and business support to organizations of all sizes across multiple industries: healthcare, human services, and hospitality. Arts cultural organizations, too. We’ve also just launched MCFO Books, a monthly subscription service which combines a full suite of professional financial and bookkeeping services for businesses and nonprofits with CFO oversight at no extra charge.

Whether you need a few consultations, periodic check-ins, interim help while reorganizing or hiring, or ongoing oversight, having a CFO in your corner is critical for your success. It’s also affordable. In fact, the first consultation is free. We’ll prioritize your needs and work within your means to strengthen your financial position so that 2022 is the best “feel good” year for your business or nonprofit—ever!
